3 things to give away at your next expo

Posted on January 27, 2016 by Guy Atkinson

Expos can give your company the chance to showcase your products or services to a new audience, raise awareness of your brand and potentially boost your sales. To make the most of these events though, you have to ensure your company gets noticed at them – and one way to do this is to hand out promotional merchandise to delegates for free. Here, we look at three categories of goods that can help your firm get the attention you need at your next expo.

NB Expo

  1. Branded freebies

Expos are basically a display of the new things that your business or company offers. It gauges the viewers’ interest, but to keep them coming back, you should hand out freebies. And these, you could distribute in the form of practical, company-branded articles like rucksacks, umbrellas, water bottles and notebooks, pens, and more. You could also take it a step further and hand out niche items like self-care kits, bottle openers, how-to guides, or even something like a customized magic 8 ball to visitors. Distributing fashion freebies could also go down well with the delegates at these events.

For the best results, make sure the goods are branded so they showcase your company name and logo. That way, when people use the objects, they will provide your firm with free advertising. If you’re not sure which fashion accessories to opt for, you can get inspiration online by perusing specialist websites like firelabel.co.uk.

  1. Office essentials

Office essentials such as pens, pencils, notebooks, portfolios, clocks, roller clips, lanyards, and badge holders are another great option. As with fashion accessories, you can get these products branded so that they provide your business with welcome extra publicity. In case you don’t want to spend an additional penny on getting them customized, you can adorn them with cling stickers featuring your brand name or logo. Another advantageous thing about many of these promotional items is the fact that they are inexpensive to stock up on. You can purchase large quantities of the goods without splashing too much of your company’s cash. This could be especially important if you are on a tight budget when preparing for your expo.

  1. Handy tech accessories

We all love our technology, and so you’re bound to attract interest among delegates if you give away useful tech-related accessories. This could be anything from earphones and speakers to smartphone holders, USBs and USB hubs. Tech freebies are especially appropriate if your firm is involved in the tech industry in some way or you’re simply keen to promote itself as sophisticated and forward looking.

Whichever promotional items you choose to give away on behalf of your business at your next expo, make sure they will appeal to the people you are trying to engage with and, if possible, display your company’s details on them clearly. This will help ensure you get maximum exposure for your brand – and mean you can have confidence that your money is being well spent.
